Debbie Smythe

Wife of Peter Smythe and the town's favourite kindergarten teacher since the early 90s. She met Peter at Kensington University where she attended after spending most of her life Los Angeles dreaming to do something positive with children.

She is the oldest child of a large family and her parents were divorced over irreconcilable differences, that is if you want to call it so if the husband was beating on his meth-addicted wife where he was supplying her with the drugs. Her father gained custody of the children, but was too busy pimping women to pay any attention to the children, so she grew up taking care of her 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

After she saw to her siblings having the means to go through school, she decided it was time to leave town and the bad memories which haunted her, memories she was not willing to tell anyone. She hitchhiked going back East and came to the seductive town of Kensington Falls and rested by a bench in the park when she decided to stay for awhile. She got a job working in the town's cinema and went to the university to get a degree in English and discovered a fellow soul mate in Peter who came from a background of hardships, but in a caring and loving family.

After trying to have children of her own for over 5 years, they discovered they were both infertile and have been on the lookout for a child to adopt, but have run into series of problems in the process, mainly those who live in town do not give up their children very easily and children from out of town seem to be unable to enter as residents.
