Enid Kenzie

Daughter of Hestia and a Babylonian King, she survived an attempted assassination that killed her father and lived many centuries with her mother who tried to teach her how to survive among the mortals. As a half-immortal, she was not godlike in qualities as her mother who could never be killed. An immortal may appear to be killed only to rise up again and destroy all mortals standing nearby. She also could not die as easily as the mortals because only fire could take their lives and unlike the mere mortals whose eternal fate were decided by Light or Dark to be slaves, the fate of a half-immortal was to be permanently cut off from all sensation in hopes of evolving into full immortals. Since she could not die like the mortals, she could live many centuries and to avoid suspicions of the mortals would have to move or change appearance because agents of Light convinced humans such people are evil witches and needed to be burned.

She was also born with magical powers to get whatever she wanted. Hestia taught Enid the importance of sticking to a higher class of humans because they had everything they needed on their own merits. Those type of people did not have a feeling of lack and were not desperate to exploit someone to get what they wanted. It was those who felt deprived most of their lives that would lie, cheat, steal and horde to get their way out of fear that they would never get their needs met.

She followed her mother's advice for most of her life. Even when she traveled on the Mayflower, she was with a wealthy man. Many times she was without a male companion because she did not want the bother of a relationship with someone who would die in a few decades. Then she met a man she felt very sorry for, Wayne, and a maternal instinct in her took over. She fell in love with him and wanted to help him succeed. He wised up to her means of help and used it against her so he could get exactly what he wanted, another woman. In his manipulation, they created a child, Agatha.

That lust he had for another woman is what got Enid killed by an angry mob because she put her love and trust in a man that was beneath her. Her worst mistake was to grow bored of the safety of the upper class who would not use her for her powers and mingle among the commoners who would.

When Enid died, she was kept in isolation where she remains. The only stimulation she ever gets is from visits from Hestia. All other visitors are forbidden.
