Hestia

Hestia is an immortal of the Darkness, daughter of Kronos and Rhea. In the instant bang of everything that came into existence, there were two polar forces - the Lightness and the Darkness. Before the existence of anything, everything existed in the form of energy and all was one with many aspects of different potentials. The struggle among these potential energy cells made the separation which divided into Light or Dark. The Light produced its own kind while the Dark produced its own. Each side had ready made family lines of the gods that always existed in the ball of energy. It was in this energy Hestia's family lived.

After the explosion that divided the one unit families, both Light and Dark built in a need of self-expression through material and non-material means through many dimensions of existence and experiences. The families of Light and Dark challenged each other to create a dimension and put on it creatures of lesser beings and see who could collect the most souls at the end of the game. The mere humans on earth would be the targets for the game and led to believe which ever side they aligned with was truly the best side and to align with the other side was foolish - not that one side was actually better than the other.

These gods of Light and Dark were pretty fickle creatures that would come and go to experience many times, dimensions and realities to satisfy their whims, but all were bound by honour to the common laws of morality they shared. Among these rules was while they could mingle among other lesser beings, they could never bring those partners into their realm and any children of these relationships would never be recognized as one of the gods with their lofty benefits, but too good to be subjected to the common selected souls which were breed to be slaves in their afterlife until the end of the game when they could be set free. It was agreed that those beings be put in a state of limbo so as to not be hurt and perhaps in silence would evolve into full gods, but graced with a visit from a parent from time to time.

It was also agreed that those in the Light or Dark could barter certain souls they collected or exchange one of their lives on the behalf of a soul. The Dark had a reputation of being extremely cruel to their captures. The Light had a reputation of making their captures quietly reflect on their life and relive it over and over. In between, all captures were meant to serve their lords in whatever way they were told. Captures of Light were often seen as angels. Captures of Dark came in many forms.

Hestia came out of the big separation and decided to have her fun by creating parallel universes hoping the lesser beings would one day find them and have some fun leaping in between them. She often had a good time hoping them. On a whim, she found a dimension and time on Earth to visit for awhile. She met a king from Babylon and agreed to become his queen. They had a child, Enid, and she thought she would try and see how the humans lived. After the assassination attempt on her life, she rose from the ashes after they set her on fire and in an instant they were all destroyed and she collected their souls for a harsh punishment. Having a heart for her former husband, she graciously gave his soul to the Light and they would owe her a favour at a later time.

Since Enid was a baby at the time and could not travel to her realm, she was forced to live among the humans under different guises until she was taught everything she needed to know to increase her chances of happiness and survival on the Earth plane. Then Hestia left for other dimensions to have fun.

Although she warned her daughter to stay with those who were upper-class and not likely to use her for her powers, Enid fell in love with a common man that eventually would play a role in her death. She got her revenge on the town of Kensington Falls after raising her granddaughter, Agatha in the woods nearby. Once she placed the curse on the town and felt Agatha was ready, she left behind her cat Felix to protect her. Felix was her magical cat she had since the start of existence.

Every now and then, Hestia will return to check up on Agatha and Felix, but she has so many better exciting adventures to stay put in one place.
